The Team

For adults, dental care is offered privately or under the NHS, depending upon each dentist and the treatment options that you have, we continue to provide for the dental needs of our child patients under the NHS.

Our private patients are given the opportunity to join the 51 Practice Plan to help spread the cost of dental care. Details of the dental plan and private fees are available from the reception staff.

We accept payment by cash, or card, and will require that you pay for your treatment at each visit.

We will arrange your appointments with you at the end of your first visit, aiming to book all necessary appointments to complete the work that you are happy for us to carry out for you.

At the end of treatment we will discuss the appropriate timeframe for when we will need to see you again.

Opening hours

The Practice is open during the following hours:

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm

To make an appointment, please telephone 01473 251955

Our premises and surgeries are not accessible to wheelchairs and there is not a disabled toilet.   Home visits for patients who cannot travel to the practice may also be available.

Dental care and treatment at the practice

On your first visit we will ask you to complete a confidential medical history questionnaire, please bring details of any medication with you to help complete this accurately.

At this visit we will carry out a thorough examination of your mouth, which may require us to take x-rays.

At the end of this appointment we are usually able to give you a good idea of any treatment that you require and the likely costs involved.

We do our best to ensure your dental care meets your individual needs and will discuss the proposed treatment and treatment options with you, giving you time to ask questions and consider the alternatives.

We offer a full range of preventive and cosmetic dentistry.  Each surgery is equipped with technology to help us diagnose when treatment is required and explain the treatment options to you. We may suggest referral to a particular specialist, if this is appropriate – for example orthodontic treatment & complex root fillings.

We encourage our patients to have regular appointments with the practice hygienists and children are invited to participate in the dental health sessions run by Mrs Perry to learn how to care for their teeth through diet and oral hygiene

As a patient of the practice you will see our regular newsletters to ensure you keep up with developments and changes within the practice.

Emergency care

During the working week emergency appointments are available every day. Please telephone the practice as early as possible after 9.00am to enable us to book you in to one of these appointments.

Should you have a dental emergency outside the normal practice hours, please telephone 111 which will put you in contact with dental advice.

At weekends and bank holidays there is an on call service available via the 111 service

Missed appointments

If you are not able to keep your appointment please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. We operate a very strict policy for patients who repeatedly miss appointments.

Patient confidentiality at our practice is taken seriously and all information about our patients is treated with the strictest confidence in accordance with our practice policy. If you would a copy of our practice confidentiality policy, please contact Mrs Davey.

We hope that you are entirely satisfied with your dental care and treatment and would be happy to recommend our services to others.
